Zakrzówek - the most popular lagoon in Krakow

Zakrzówek is an extremely picturesque place in Krakow. It is a former limestone quarry flooded with water in 1992 and today it creates an interesting flood surrounded by rocks, places creating dangerous, vertical walls. Zakrzówek is located southwest of the center of Krakow, from ul. Kapelanka you can walk down Wyłom or Salezjańska streets. Around the entire quarry there is a path

The reservoir at Zakrzówek consists of two reservoirs connected by a isthmus. Swimming is unfortunately prohibited here, but the banks of the lagoon are one of the favorite holiday destinations of Krakow residents. Cyclists have taken a liking to this area. Zakrzówek in Krakow became one of the 7 New Wonders of Poland 2014 announced by National Geographic.

Platforms and swimming pools

On the south side, beautiful walking platforms hanging on the water were created. Thus, the wild beach turned into a system of pools of varying depths. We really like it here. The pools will open in June 2023.

Zakrzówek Lagoon is also attractive for divers, delving into its waters you can see, for example, a large Fiat 125, a bus or boats.
