The most beautiful beaches in Mallorca. Top 5. These places are worth visiting!
The coast of Mallorca offers more than 200 beaches that differ in character, views and amenities. We will show you the 5 most beautiful ones. Of course, this is a subjective assessment. You can judge for yourself which ones you like and which ones you would exchange in this list for others. And when you check out the beaches, check out the 10 most beautiful things to do in Mallorca!
1. Cala del Moro in Majorca
Cala del Moro (Calo des Moro) is one of the most beautiful and picturesque coves in Mallorca, or even the most beautiful. One of the Instagram spots on the island! She made a huge impression on us, which is why we put her first. Due to the turquoise water and bright, fine sand is compared to Caribbean beaches. This small bay (an inch is just a bay) about 100 meters wide is squeezed between high cliffs, and as you wander into it, you look down on it. It's fantastic and creates an incredibly beautiful landscape.
Going down the steep stone steps to the sand, you will come across a grotto that resembles the Maltese Al-Mixta from the island of Gozo. You will take equally charming photos here, although there are more tourists here, although the place is considered secluded in Mallorca, surrounded by nature protection. This is one of Mallorca's last paradises!
Access and parking: The beach is located on the south coast of the island, next to the Spanish town of Cala Llombards, 7 km from the town of Santanyí. The capital of Palma is just over 60 km away, and you can get there by car in about 45 minutes. We parked in a large, free car park in Cala Llombards y Cala S'Almunia.

2. Cala Mondrago and S'Amarador Beach in Mallorca
Cala Mondrago and S'Amarador Beach are two sandy beaches in Mondrago Park with turquoise water and heavenly views. Located exactly opposite each other, they create an unusual shape of the bay, looking great from a drone! Usually crowded, they are characterized by fine, white sand and crystal clear water. Especially the beach of Cala Mondrago is well developed, with access to sun loungers and umbrellas as well as restaurants. Here, too, we came across a gentleman selling fresh fruit on the beach, which he sliced and partially peeled on the spot. In the vicinity there are hiking trails that lead to the Park and other charming coves.
Access and parking: The beach lies on the southeast coast of the island, just north of Cala Figuera. Paid parking on site

3. Playa de Alcudia in Mallorca
According to us, this is the most beautiful open beach of Mallorca, not counting the rocky coves. It is a wide, typical sandy beach, the longest in Mallorca. It stretches for about 10 km, with attractions and a beautiful view. There is a nice pier without barriers and a port with restaurants in the eastern part. It is characterized by shallow water, which makes it ideal for families with small children. The beach offers many amenities, including sun loungers, umbrellas and a variety of water sports.
Access and parking: Alcudia lies on the north coast of Mallorca, about 56 km from Palma. The easiest way to get here is by car, on the Ma-13 motorway, which takes about 45 minutes. Free parking is located a few hundred meters from the beach, at the petrol station. From Palma you can also get here by bus line 302.

4. Playa de Formentor in Mallorca
Cala Formentor is a picturesque beach located in the northern part of the island, known for its spectacular views of the mountains and crystal clear water. The beach is surrounded by pine forests and offers a variety of attractions, including water equipment rentals and cafes serving local specialties. It is a great place to relax and admire the sunsets. It is worth visiting the Cap de Formentor.
Access and parking: you get here as you would on Cap de Formentor. During the season, only buses run here, and after the season, from around mid-October, you can get here by your own car. Free parking by the beach.

5. Playa de Palma in Majorca
Playa de Palma is a beach in the capital, stretching for several kilometers. Ideal for sunbathing and water sports. But also for a beautiful sunset. There is a restaurant at the beginning of the beach from the city side.
Access: the beach can be reached on foot from the city center, unfortunately it is difficult to park in the city. Paid car park: Aparcament Parc de la Mar, address: Av. de Gabriel Roca

Crowds on Majorca's beaches
In 2024, due to too many tourists, the inhabitants of Mallorca protested against this and closed the beaches. The problem is significant. Even in October, when we were visiting the island, there were a lot of tourists almost everywhere. It is certainly tiring for the residents.

The dying beaches of Mallorca
In addition, there is an additional problem here. Well, for years, the beaches on the island have been getting smaller, they are simply dying. Soon they may disappear from the map of this Spanish island. It would be an irreparable loss. This is because, among other things, the sea takes away these beaches, and they are limited by concrete promenades, and nature cannot cope with it on its own. Plans are being made to remove concrete fortifications and leave Mallorcan beaches more natural.
Mallorca is an island full of beautiful beaches that offer something for everyone. From tranquil coves to lively resorts. Whether you are looking for a place to relax for two, water sports or a family holiday of your dreams, the beaches of Majorca will meet your expectations and provide you with unforgettable memories. We were enchanted!

Accommodation in Mallorca
While visiting Mallorca, we slept in the resort of El Arenal, adjacent to Palma, the capital of the island. It is an interesting place with a bay and numerous souvenir shops, but also many restaurants. It's not super quiet here, and our Hostel Atlanta was also not of a high standard. I would say medium. In addition, there is a fully equipped kitchen with appliances (fridge, microwave, toaster) and a game room with billiards. The bathroom is a bit poor. In the double bed there was a pillow instead of a duvet, one (and I like to have my own), but it was not a problem even in October, because it was warm and the pillowcase was wide. We had towels replaced every day and there was very good contact with the owner who was eager to help. Compared to other accommodation on the island, it was really cheap here. We paid PLN 900 for 4 nights for 2 people.
