The first mention of the princely village can be found in the "Księga Henrykowska" (Henry I the Bearded document) from 1221. The Henryk Wieniawski Spa Park is very captivating. Beautiful and atmospheric, yet calm and free of crowds. A walk along the promenade among the beautiful buildings with the Water Pump Room, Walking Hall, Theater and other buildings provides a very pleasant experience. In addition, the buildings of the Park are perfectly integrated into the greenery, and not just any greenery. You won't even find such a collection in some botanical gardens.

2. Mineral Water Pump Room and Walking Hall in Szczawno-Zdrój
The heart of the Spa Park is the beautiful building of the Pump Room with a wooden Walking Hall. This building is so delightful that it is difficult to turn your eyes away from it. Characteristic, impressive and ornate. Not only will you drink healing water here, but you will eat ice cream or drink coffee. Time is made more pleasant by sun loungers.

3. Anna's Tower in Szczawno-Zdrój
At the end of the Park there is the Anna Tower. It is a historic building, a clock tower built in the years 1817-18. Its originator was August Zemplin - the founder of the local spa, and the name comes from the name of the Countess Anna von Hochberg, Princess von Anhalt-Koethen-Pless. The tower overlooks the Park because it stood on a rock protrusion. In the place where the former healing spring in Szczawno probably beat. Already from the terrace of the lower tower there is a nice view, unfortunately the tower was closed and we could not get to the upper terrace. While the entire promenade is wheelchair accessible, Anna's tower is no longer.

4. Spa House in Szczawno-Zdrój
Dok Zdrojowy is a huge building that makes a great impression. It looks especially nice from a drone, against the background of the surrounding mountains. In front of the Spa House, there is a large fountain and benches that allow you to relax and catch your breath.
The Spa House in Szczawno Zdrój was designed by the same architect who built the Grand Hotel in Sopot. The two buildings are very similar. Anyway, that was also the name of the spa house - Hotel Grand. Its construction was commissioned by Jan Henryk XV Hochberg - the owner of Książ Castle.

6. Tower on Gedymina Hill in Szczawno-Zdrój
Recently, in the Spa Park in Szczawno-Zdrój, you can climb an interesting, free observation tower. It is about 30 meters high and has 2 observation decks. Not much can be seen from the lower one, but the upper one at an altitude of over 26 meters offers very nice views of the wide area. The tower is cool, almost for everyone, because there is not a single step on it, a wooden ramp leads to the very top, without gaps and wide enough for everyone to feel safe here. The shape is very similar to the tower from Borowa. Despite the fact that it was created recently, it has already stolen the hearts of tourists who like to come here.
And how to get to the tower? It is best to stop at the free car park at Słoneczna Polana with a playground, at Skiarska Street. From here, you have to go through a forest path with a length of about 1 km, slightly uphill. In good weather, the path is accessible to wheelchairs, at least those on large wheels. The map is under your photos.

7. Manor house in Szczawno Zdrój
We discovered a beautiful place in Szczawno 🙂 At Spacerowa Street, at the foot of Chełmiec Mountain, there is Dworzysko - a fantastic oasis in a restored 19th-century farmhouse. Attention is drawn here to the wonderful and sizable Ida Manor with a surrounding terrace. It is an icon of the Manor House. It houses a delicious Swiss cafe where you can taste sweets prepared on site. And this is just the beginning, because next to the half-timbered building there is a delicious Babinicz Restaurant.
The place is amazing, you can walk, ride a horse, see alpacas, rent bicycles. And above all, stay longer, in one of three buildings to choose from. The place is really special 🙂

8. Tower of the Three Horns
How not to think about the mountains when they are so close. Szczawno is surrounded by several interesting peaks, and we chose Trójgarb in the Wałbrzych Mountains. It is a characteristic peak with three vertices. It is best to get it from Lubomin, where there is a car park at Główna Street. From here you can choose the green or yellow trail. We greens have climbed to the very top. The trail is very nice, it leads through the forest, although in some places it is narrow and the slope falls quite steeply down. The summit is about 2 km away, and the march takes about an hour. You can find the map below.
On the highest peak of the Triangle, at a height of 778 m above sea level, a steel observation tower stood in 2018, over 27 meters high. The stairs lead to five viewing platforms that can arouse adrenaline. The more that the panorama covers 360 degrees, the platforms are pulled out, and the wind is quite strong. However, the views and impressions are fantastic, even the Karkonosze Mountains can be seen from here with good visibility. Below the tower, there is a picnic shed with a stamp for the willing. We were returning from Trójgarb along the green trail only to Lubomiński Saddle, then along the yellow trail, which is much safer for small children. This trail also led us almost to the parking lot.
