Świeradów Zdrój inLower Silesiahas recently become very popular in Poland, thanks to the new observation tower with a path in the clouds that was created there. Of course, we are talking about the Sky Walk observation tower - the largest project of this type in Poland at the moment. The tower opened in June 2021 and immediately became famous among tourists and quickly filled up with them. It arouses a lot of emotions, not everyone likes such constructions in the mountains, but it only made it popular. We really like observation towers and modern tourist attractions, so we were happy to visit it to get to know its charms, especially since the Sky Walk tower in Świeradów was the winner of our Top Attractions in 2021!

Sky Walk tower with a path in the clouds is 60 meters high, the upper observation deck is located at a height of about 55 meters. The walk by the tower itself is to be 800 meters long, and the entire didactic path leading through the forest will wind for about 3 km. Interestingly, the tower will be integrated into the forest, some trees will even be inside the structure. All this will make you see the forest from it on different levels, not only from above.

  • glass footbridge on the top - allows you to levitate over the abyss, only for the brave, although daredevils admiring the views from this footbridge are not lacking, it is a favorite place for selfies 🙂
  • a drop of water or a relaxation net - next to a glass footbridge, at a height of about 50 meters above the ground, you can lie on the net and relax, it is also an attraction only for the brave, although children jumped on the net without any stress before our eyes🙂
  • spider cocoon - a mesh attraction that can take you to another level of the path
  • a slide from the tower, a special slide over 100 meters long, is not always active
  • original installations, the subject of frogs appears here, because Świeradów Zdrój is famous for them

In addition, the ski infrastructure, including lifts, will be modernized on the Świeradiec slope. A gondola and a modern couch will now be waiting for tourists.

Is it worth going to the Sky Walk tower?

Personally, I think it's definitely worth it. You have to be prepared for the fact that the ticket is not the cheapest, there is also a problem with free parking, although we managed to do it, and the ones available a few hundred meters under the tower are paid and not cheap. After all, the attraction is great, although it did not reveal all the advantages, because there were no beautiful views due to the weather, I really liked the walk around the tower. There was no sun, but there were also no crowds, apart from us there were only a few people. Despite the large height, you can walk without stress, because there are no stairs, you do not have to look down, and above your head we still have a built-up tower structure. The path is also wide, which makes it comfortable and safe to feel. It was only at the last level that the adrenaline started to rise, when you felt this space around you. It is amazing how confident the children felt when they were accidentally met here, jumping on a mesh drop of water and climbing onto a glass footbridge without any problems. I personally felt anxiety when stepping on a substrate other than wood😉 But the emotions are very positive at the same time! At the very top of the tower, a huge cloud completely obscured the view and there was practically milk around us. In fact, we felt like walking in the clouds 🙂

Where did the Sky Walk tower in Świeradów stand?

The Sky Walk tower stood almost on the edge of Poland, in Świeradów Zdrój, but not at the top, like the twin tower in Dolní Morava in the Czech Republic, but closer to the city, on the slope of the Świeradowiec mountain (1037 m above sea level). This is to make it more accessible, so that almost everyone can enter the tower, and not only those who like to hike in the mountains. The small slope of the path makes it safe, does not cause problems for people with height anxiety and is accessible even to wheelchairs. The views from the tower through such a location are not overwhelming, but extensive enough to experience an interesting walk, full of impressions.

Tower in Krynica

There are already over a dozen similar paths in Europe and they are all very popular! They are available even for families with small children and people with disabilities. Also in Poland, we already have such a first observation tower with a treetop path in Krynica Zdrój, which I described in 2020. It was then that she was declared the Construction of the Year. Its popularity is also considerable, and now in Poland there is another, even higher tower in Świeradów.
