Łazienki Królewskie is the most beautiful palace and park complex in Warsaw, open all year round to tourists. Surrounded by an 18th-century park, the palace's beauty can compete with European residences. The Łazienki Park is located almost in the center of Warsaw, south of the Old Town, about 3.5 km from the Royal Castle. You can get here, for example, by buses departing from Krakowskie Przedmieście. It is worth seeing this valuable cultural and national heritage complex.

Royal Łazienki Museum in Warsaw

The Royal Łazienki Museum in Warsaw was established in the Royal Łazienki, which consists of various objects: the Palace on the Isle, the Old Orangery, the Myślewicki Palace, the White House, the Waterworks, the Museum of Hunting and Horsemanship – a branch of the Royal Łazienki Museum. 

Palace on the Isle

The most famous object of the Museum is, of course, the Palace on the Isle with stylish interiors. You will see many works of art and objects from the era. On the ground floor there are: Bacchus Room, Ballroom, Portrait Cabinet, Rotunda with statues of rulers, Picture Gallery, Chapel or Dining Room memorable from the royal famous Thursday dinners. On the first floor, you can admire the former royal apartments.

Historic Park

The historic park surrounding the Palace was built in the years 1774-84. It combines elements of a regular French garden with an extensive, landscape English park and extends over a large area. Warsaw residents and tourists love to walk here, and sometimes it is crowded here. This place is loved not only by adults, but also by children, because there are a lot of squirrels here who run between the walkers, tamed and approaching the feeding hands. In addition, you will meet ducks and peacocks here.

In the summer, a maturing zone was created in the Park, open every day during the opening hours of the historic Garden, located near the New Orange House pavilion.

In addition to museum buildings, you will also see the Water Theatre, the Old Orange House, the Hermitage, the Egyptian Temple, the amphitheatre and the Fryderyk Chopin Monument. The Łazienki Park is open from dawn to duskand is available free of charge (except for museum buildings), along with all gardens in its area. 3 gates lead to the Park, from: Aleja Ujazdowskie (Ujazdowskie Avenue) (at Belvedere), Myśliwiecka Street and Gagarina Street. Gardens in Łazienki Park

The gardens in the Warsaw Łazienki can impress, you will see the Royal Garden from the 18th century, the Romantic Garden from the 19th century, the beautiful and unique Chinese Garden, as well as the Modernist Garden from the 20th century. 

Concerts at the Fryderyk Chopin Monument

Interestingly, in the latter, i.e. in the Modernist Garden, live concerts are organized at the Chopin monument in the summer. Each time they gather a large audience.

Lubomirski - founder of Łazienki in Warsaw

The Royal Łazienki was founded in the 17th century by Stanisław Herakliusz Lubomirski. The present shape was given to them by King Stanisław August Poniatowski (1732-98). At that time, the 17th-century bathhouse designed by Tylman of Gameren was transformed into a magnificent, classicist Palace on the Isle. It is the most magnificent facility of the entire complex, open to tourists. It was the summer residence of King Stanisław August - the last king of Poland.
