Rewa is a Baltic Kashubian village, located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, between Puck and Rzucewo, and Gdynia. The latter is 15 km away. In Rewa, the most delightful is the so-called "jewel", i.e. the Rewska Spit or the Rewski Capitol. Beautiful at sunset, but then also the most crowded. It is worth visiting here in the morning.

Rewa's location at the "end of the world" meant that the inhabitants have been engaged in coastal fishing here for centuries, which is still practiced today. A large group of inhabitants has always been also seafarers, formerly sailing on merchant ships called boats.

Rewa

Attractions in Reva, what is worth seeing?

Rewa is a small swimming pool that lives from tourism, but also from fishing and water sports, because the area of the Bay of Puck is one of the best places to practice water sports in Poland.

Rewa promontory in Rewa

The promontory, also called jewelry by locals, is a sandy scythe about 1 km long, which crosses the waters of the Bay of Puck. How pleasant it is to walk here. We were before sunset and it was wonderful, but this moment had one big minus, a large number of tourists! If you can, choose the morning, then it will be calmer and more pleasant. But the views spoiled us. Did you know that this promontory was created by sea currents? The undersea embankment stretches further, extending all the way to the Hel Spit. It is called Mewia Rewa or Mylizna Rybitwia and leads all the way to Kuźnica.

Seagull Rewa and Herring March

Thanks to this, Rewa is an unusual place in Poland, where you can walk on the sea abyss? No one in their right mind imagined that it was possible to walk on deep water, but by staying at the Rewa you can break stereotypes. Here you can touch with a dry hand a sunken submarine that rests on the bottom of the sea. Impossible? And yet, during the annual "Herring March", it becomes possible. Volunteers crossing the sea on a 10-kilometer stretch between Kuźnica and Rewa. Miracles happen in Rewa!

This march has been organized since 2002. It's an interesting spectacle. Then the daredevils wander through the sand, and when it ends, they enter the sea. This requires considerable courage, which is why the individual stages are called "faith", "Moses syndrome" and "trial".

Rewa Shipwreck Cemetery

At the time of water subsidence, islands appearing on the surface of the sea are an equally phenomenal phenomenon. These small pieces of land are accessible to tourists, but you can only get to them using a sea means of transport, such as a motorboat.

This shoal is an interesting place for diving, because it is a real cemetery of wrecks. There are more than 20 of them sunk here. One of them is ORP Kujawiak. It is a Soviet submarine that was leased to Poland, and after years of service served as a target ship. The same name was given to the ship, which became famous in the defence of Malta during World War II.

Rewa cutter wreck

We don't dive, that's why we found a wreck on the surface. It looks amazing, not on the shore, but among the greenery of the Seaside Landscape Park. You will find it at Wałowa Street, a little south of the promontory. Unfortunately, we did not find more information about its history and how it came to be here in the first place. Recommended for unusual photos. Or maybe you know more about it, will you share?

Rewa, wrak kutra

Mechelińskie Łąki

The so-called "Mechelińskie Łąki" stretches southeast of the centre of Rewa. These are brackish, i.e. salty meadows, protected by a nature reserve, belonging to the Seaside Landscape Park.
