Dolní Morava in the Czech Republic is a former, sleepy village located in the heart of the mountains, in the shadow of Śnieżnik (Sněžník). It was a forgotten corner of the Sudetenland, depopulated after World War II. Currently, Lower Moravia has undergone one of the most spectacular metamorphoses in Central Europe. A modern resort has been created here, which breaks Guinness records and attracts a lot of tourists all year round! The biggest hits are Sky Walk, a walk in the clouds, and Sky Bridge 721, the world's longest suspension bridge for pedestrians until 2024! And Wellness Melori invites you to relax after emotions. Sky Bridge 721 Dolni Morava. The world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge by 2024

Sky Bridge 721 was built as the world's longest suspension pedestrian bridge. It is exactly 721 meters long, connects 2 mountain ridges and hangs about 90 meters (max 95 meters) above the valley. He beat the previous record holder from Portugal by over 160 meters, because he is 516 meters tall! In 2024, however, a 2-meter longer pedestrian suspension bridge was built in Hungary. The footbridge in the Czech Republic is only 1.2 meters wide and is built of a metal truss, through which the bottom of the Mlynsky Potok valley can be clearly seen, which enhances the impression. There are also breathtaking views around. In summer, it is a one-way footbridge, but in winter, the return path, i.e. the didactic path of the Bridge of Time, is closed and we returned again by bridge. This walk on the rope bridge had previously kept Łukasz awake. But he managed, it didn't turn out to be scary for me, even though it was a bit of a swing, especially when there are more people on it. However, its solid construction made me feel really confident!

The entrance to Sky Bridge 721 is located at the upper station of the Sněžník chairlift. You can get here by cable car or on foot. At the top, turn left, next to the Slamenka restaurant

Sky Walk Tower or the Path in the Clouds of Lower Moravia

Sky Walk is a symbol of this place. This is no ordinary observation tower. Architect Zdeněk Fránek designed it to resemble the flight of a night butterfly, or moth. This design attracts the eye from afar. The trail starts at the Skalka restaurant, next to the ski slope. As you walk down the path in the clouds to this mighty tower, the wind whispers in your ear. From the very top there is a picturesque view of Śnieżnik, the Three Seaside Peak and other peaks, but one look down and the heart beats like crazy!️ Standing on the mesh drop at the top almost beat me! This net is suspended at a height of 50 m, standing on it you can see what is under your feet. In addition, there is a sleeve, i.e. a dense network, through which you go from one floor of the footbridge to the other, and a slide 100 meters long!

Mammoth roller coaster Dolní Morava, or bobsleds (Mammoth roller coaster)

Mammoth roller coaster Dolní Morava is the longest bobsleigh track in the Czech Republic and the second longest in Europe! This is one way to get back down from the top. And this is an attraction that, in turn, aroused uncertainty in me. I felt much better when I saw that there was a possibility of braking. You descend at 50 km/h, you have to hold the stick down all the time, and to brake, pull it up. The route is as long as 3 km. There are 25 turns along the way, 360° rotation at a height of 12 m above the ground, an eight-shaped loop and a tunnel. Be sure to wear gloves and a hat in winter, because it is cold during the downhill and your hands are very cold.

The largest mammoth sculpture in the world and parks for children. Why are mammoths in Lower Moravia?

Dolní Morava likes the motif of mammoths, because their remains were found in the area, and the region was a route for their wanderings. Next to the mammoth roller coaster stands the world's largest mammoth sculpture. It is 13 meters high. You can get in and out with the trumpet! The sculpture educates and plays on two floors. You enter the mammoth by a winding staircase hidden in the mammoth's front legs or by a road full of adventures and obstacles in one of the mammoth's rear legs. There is a rope chimney in the right rear leg and a climbing wall in the left rear leg. The second floor is a game in the "wilderness" with overturned wooden stakes, tunnels, rope lanes and even a cave from which the roar of a mammoth resounds. From here you can go down. There are Mammoth Parks around, which offer fantastic fun for children in a water, forest or sandy park.

Wellness Melori - pools and saunas. Water madness

Wellness Melori is a freshener opened on January 31, 2026. It is the perfect place to relax after the madness in the mountains. The pool area is as much as 550 m² of water fun and relaxation. There is a recreational pool (31 degrees C) with massage elements, an outdoor heated Jacuzzi pool (34 degrees C) with panoramic mountain views, an original children's Spray Park with a paddling pool and three slides with a total length of over 90 meters. There are also sun loungers, a bistro, and below there is a sauna and massage area. In summer, there is also an outdoor recreational pool with a sun terrace.

Summer attractions: Cycling Trail Park with trails, scooters, tubing

Trail Park consists of many bicycle routes that are designed to varying degrees of length. There are family routes and these are more exciting for experienced cyclists. A nice route for families with children is the 8 km long Młyński trail. Mild AirLine with a length of 1.8 km is a route full of safe terrain obstacles suitable for learning jumps with the longest jump with a maximum length of 4 meters. Oakley trail is 5.2 km long and has a sharper slope, for more advanced cyclists who will surely like higher bands, more frequent jumping opportunities, rides, terrain jumps and jumps from benches. Mammoth trail is a 4 km long route, it is technically difficult and allows you to get away from the ground. It is the steepest and has a varied surface, full of waves, bands, wooden benches. It contains a lot of technical faults. The Downhill trail is very difficult. It has a length of 2 km and conceals a 350-meter downhill as well as very demanding, natural passages. Long rocky sections intertwine with crossings through streams, there are also large jumps with a length of 8-11 m and a wooden exit with a length of 4 m.

Scooters are also popular among tourists. Adults have Kickbike fat MAX scooters at their disposal, and children from 7 years of age have FREE RIDE scooters at their disposal. A panoramic red cycling route with a length of 15 km is recommended for a scooter tour. It leads from the top back to the valley of Dolní Morava. The tour takes about 1.5 hours. For children, there is also a tubing track, an inflatable trampoline, ladders and small climbing walls.

Winter activities: slopes and ski slopes

The Mountain Resort Dolna Morawa offers more than 10 km of snow-covered ski slopes of every difficulty level. Here you will find the longest slope in the Czech Republic with a length of 3.7 km, as well as a family slope with a length of more than 3 km and a minimum width of 25 m. In addition, there are 2 4-person lifts (Sněžník and U Slona), 2 plough lifts (Ondráš and Kamila) and 1 saucer lift (Slamník). Kids love Ski Park. On the illuminated slope with a length of over 600 meters, you can ski even after dark.

At the very end of the ski trail, at the bottom station of the cable car, there is the Marcelka Cottage. It is a restaurant open until the evening, where you will have a tasty meal. The dishes from the menu are beautifully served and taste delicious. In addition, next to it there is the less active Marcelka Bakery, perfect for coffee and a sweet break. There are also several other gastronomic outlets in the form of fast food. Also at the top there are several restaurants, such as Skalka or Slamenka.

Three Seashore Wierch

The Klepý peak (Three Seaside Peak) is a unique point constituting the European water division. The water that falls on this one peak flows into three different seas: the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea and the North Sea. It is one of the few such places on the continent! The water poured here can flow to Gdańsk or, for example, to Romania.

Śnieżnik - the highest peak of the Eastern Sudetes

Śnieżnik (1423 m above sea level, also a less common altitude of 1425 m above sea level) is the highest peak of the Eastern Sudetes, belonging to the Crown of the Polish Mountains. It is also the highest peak of the Śnieżnik Massif. The gable dome lies above the upper limit of the forest and is a great vantage point for the whole Sudetenland and the foothills, and even the Beskids. You can watch the sunrise from here. This is facilitated by the observation tower standing on top. Śnieżnik is a border peak, the peak is located on the Polish-Czech border.

Petroleum fortifications

Dark souvenirs from the 1930s are hidden in the forests around the resort. These are Czechoslovak fortifications, so-called "řopíky" and heavy infantry shelters, built in defense against Nazi Germany. Lower Moravia was a key point of defense. Some of the bunkers have been renovated.

Other attractions in Eastern Bohemia

The East Bohemian region abounds in beautiful attractions. The capital and largest city of the voivodeship is Pardubice, but it is also worth visiting other places around. Nearby is the oldest horse farm in the Czech Republic in Kladruby. Litomyśl with a castle from the UNESCO List is beautiful. Chrudim is unique, small, but very atmospheric.
